Biography
Dr. Ashok Kumar is the Head of the Sharda NextGen Cyber & Quantum Systems Facility and the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Imaging, and Forensics at Sharda University. He is also a Professor of Physics in the School of Basic Science and Research. Dr. Kumar obtained his Master's (Integrated) in Physics from IIT Kanpur and completed his Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University, USA. He has extensive postdoctoral research experience at Stanford University in microfluidics and at Massachusetts General Hospital in collaboration with Harvard Medical School, focusing on medical imaging. He has also worked in the biomedical instrumentation industry. His current research focuses on the applications of artificial intelligence in medicine, medical imaging, musical acoustics, speech and handwriting forensics, space physics, molecular dynamics, and quantum machine learning.
