Biography

Dr. Kumar is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Life Science, Sharda School of Bio-Science and Technology, Sharda University. He earned his Ph.D. from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in 2014. Following this, he has worked as scientist in the Department of President’s Affairs (DOPA), Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 2014-2016. Later, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Division of Hematology/Nephrology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA, from 2017-2020. He has produced more than 67 scientific publications, 3 patients and book chapters with and 14 awards, including world top 2% Scientist for 2024 by Stanford University and Scopus, Bentham Science Ambassador Award, Junior Research Fellowship (ICMR- JRF) Award, 2008, (GATE) Award 2005. Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) fellowship for Biotech Industrial Training Program (BITP) by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, Delhi. Public Budgeting Committee Post Doc fellowship from Israel Government in 2014. Other award included, Research Associate from ICMR, seed grant, consultancy grant, and poster presentation awards. He is in the editorial Board of various journals including Editor-in Chief- Advances in Human Physiology Research (Bilingual Publisher, Singapore). Associate editor -Cancer Cell International (BMC), and European Journal of Medical Research (BMC), Editorial Board Member-Molecular and Cell Biology (BMC), Molecular and Clinical Oncology, Journal of Integrated Science and Technology, topic editor in Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences.
